The Grand Traverse Area Rock and Mineral Club, Traverse City, Michigan (GTARMC) is
open to rockhounds of all ages. Promoting our hobby is our main goal. Here is
our mission
statement.
All regular meetings and most classes are held at the Grand Traverse Heritage Center
(the old library) at 322 Sixth Street in
Traverse City, Michigan. To find the Heritage Center, turn west on Sixth St. from Union St.,
which is 4 blocks south of Grandview Parkway (US-31, M-72, M-37). The Heritage Center is
the first building on the right, about 2 blocks from Union St. The meetings (except August and December)
are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m., in the large room just to
the right after you enter the sliding front door in the new part of the building.
Please visit our next meeting, you do not have to be a member of the GTARMC to attend.

In addition, you can join this special support group for those with the serious affliction of rockhounditis. When friends and family look at you funny when you are talking about spending hours or whole vacations collecting rocks, minerals and fossils, you can find solace in knowing that you can talk to any of the GTARMC members who know that you are really "normal".
Membership dues are $5.00 for Junior members ages 8 through 17 years, $15.00 for an adult, $20.00 for a couple with an additonal $3.00 per child in the family.
